CHENGDU, China, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 92nd China Food & Drinks Fair (CFDF) with the theme "Exhibition, Exchange and Cooperation" was successfully held at the Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Centre (CCNICEC) in Chengdu from March 26 to March 28, 2015.

1. CFDF 2015 consolidates and strengthens role as a leading trade platform
The 2015 edition of CFDF offered six special exhibition zones for traditional domestic alcoholic beverages and wines, international spirits, foods, non-alcoholic beverages and condiments as well as for food production and packaging equipment across the 125,000 square meter exhibition space. The six exhibition zones included sections for imported foods, snacks, rice wines and imported food equipment as well as trade platforms connecting investors and food brands.
The 92nd CFDF hosted over 3,000 exhibitors from the food and beverage as well as related sectors, and attracted over 300,000 professional buyers and visitors. In addition to local firms, the exhibitors came from Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as 33 other countries, including France, Germany, the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Chile, Australia and New Zealand. According to preliminary statistics, the CFDF 2015 generated a total turnover of 22.7 billion yuan (approx. US$3.6 billion), including 11.7 billion yuan (approx. US$1.87 billion) in deals concerning alcoholic beverages, 8.56 billion yuan (approx. US$1.37 billion) in transactions dealing with foods and non-alcoholic beverages as well as 1.35 billion yuan (approx. US$216 million) for condiments and 1.02 billion yuan (approx. US$160 million) for food production and packaging equipment.

CFDF 2015 optimized its services for exhibitors and professional buyers, including pre-registration, on-site guides, stand installation services and consulting as well as advertising and shuttle transportation. In line with the high standards applied to the quality of the services, the event also organized business talks, trade exchanges and networking events for exhibitors. CFDF 2015 upgraded the accuracy of event information in addition to providing an online presence for exhibitor's wares and other added-value services through the leveraging new media platforms and technologies, including illuminated promotional floats, announcements via Wechat and presentations using 3D virtual reality.
