A Revolution in Edatel's Offering: StreamWIDE's Fixed-Wireless Convergence Service

StreamWIDE (FR0010528059 - ALSTW), the specialist in next generation value-added telephony solutions for telecom operators, in partnership with Italtel Colombia, Worldwide Leader in integration of Telecommunication solutions, announced it has supplied Edatel, a Colombian telecommunications operator, subsidiary of Grupo Empresarial UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones, with a telecom platform enabling a unique "Wireless Extension" service.  

This 16,000 Million Pesos (USD$ 9M) investment, freshly launched in January in Edatel's coverage area is an extraordinary and innovative endeavor.  "Wireless Extension" is a smart fixed-wireless convergence feature which allows fixed-line customers to enjoy the freedom of using a wireless device to place and receive calls. This service is an extension of their fixed line number with the same fixed line telephony plan. This offering is available to Edatel through StreamWIDE Global Communications software platform integrated with a fourth generation UMTS and HSDPA access network.
