The creation of Agile Alliance Brazil was announced during the AGILE2014 conference in Orlando, Fla., the largest annual global gathering of Agilists, and reinforces the Alliance's internationalization strategy and commitment to localized support of Agile communities across the globe.
"The benefits of having access to the global breadth and depth of the international Alliance to Agilists in Brazil is clear," said Manoel Pimentel, chair of the Agile Alliance Brazil board of directors. "But this partnership will benefit more than just Agilists in Brazil. Together, with Agile Alliance, we offer world-class events and generate and distribute leading-edge educational content for members and subscribers worldwide, along with contributing to the development of the Brazilian Agile community."
Agile Alliance has already begun the process of developing content in both Portuguese and English on the Agile Alliance Brazil website, which is accessible to all Agile Alliance members.
The 2014 Agile Brazil conference is slated to be held in Florianopolis, the capital city of Santa Catarina state in Brazil on Nov. 5-7, 2014. This conference will be the largest Agile event in Brazil, with more than 1,000 attendees expected from across the globe, and all Agile Alliance members are eligible for conference discounts.
Agile Alliance Brazil will be led by an independent board of directors, including the chair, Manoel Pimentel, Hugo Corbucci, Samuel Crescencio, Dairton Bassi and Rafael Prikladnicki.
