Alenia Aermacchi Accelerates Scenario Analysis Process with PHX ModelCenter®
- Italian leader of complex aeronautical systems for both commercial and defense markets
reduces scenario analysis cycles with Phoenix Integration solutions
TOULOUSE, France, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Integration, a leading provider of software for engineering automation, integration, and design optimization, jointly with its Italian reseller Tess-Com, today announced that its flagship software, PHX ModelCenter, helps Alenia Aermacchi, a Finmeccanica company, to speed aircraft mission scenario analysis processes.
Aircraft scenario planning is crucial for the preparation of any mission. This analysis involves several different simulation tools, fed by dataset providing aircrafts, terrains, threats, human factors, and many more variables. PHX ModelCenter helps Alenia Aermacchi's engineers to quickly build a scenario analysis around one or more variables available in the scenario and automate the execution process for faster efficiency and better robustness.
"We work with several scenarios and we developed our own code and batch tools in order to analyze relevant scenario parameters. Integration of tools is not always easy and adapting them was slow when compared to the steady number of requests," explained Mr. Marco Protti, Business Development and Head of Product Scenarios at Alenia Aermacchi.
PHX ModelCenter has been integrated with mission analysis tools. Aircraft capabilities across several operational environments can thus be validated, optimizing the process giving the ability to run multiple simulations. PHX ModelCenter, for instance, gives the ability to run optimization analysis on mission success probability, mission cost, and logistical effort using the integrated simulation tools.
"PHX ModelCenter helps us to integrate new analysis tools in a more efficient way," said Mr. Protti. "It allows us to augment our analysis capabilities and increases our responsiveness to customer needs."
