Alex and Oli have, throughout their career, been one of the standout teams in London right from when they were featured in Campaign magazine's 'Top Ten Young Creatives' and 'Faces to Watch," as well as Creative Review's 'Creative Futures Award.'
With stints at WCRS, Wieden+Kennedy and, most recently, as Creative Directors at Mother, they have brought their characteristically diverse style of creativity to bear on clients including Smirnoff, Brylcreem, Universal Music, Cancer Research UK, Nike, Honda and Nokia.
Most notable is their ground-breaking work for the release of Kaiser Chiefs 'The Future is Medieval' and, more recently, the controversial makethempay.co.uk.
Anomaly Founding Partner and Global ECD Mike Byrne observed; "You know you've struck gold in this business when you've met two people and weeks later their creative residue is still dancing across your brain and shaking your spirit. It's lasting and smells good. I've purchased, for both my mother and father, front row seats (orchestra section) for the Oli and Alex show. I can't wait for the curtains to peel back and I will absolutely have my mobile turned off."
Managing Partner at Anomaly London Ben Moore added; "Alex and Oli are extraordinary talents. Their work through the years has increasingly shown an instinct for a new model of communications and they epitomise Anomaly's broad definition of creativity. I'm really excited that they're joining us."
In describing their move, Oli and Alex said; "When the guys made us the offer we probably looked quite calm. Inside we were doing star-jumps in our pants. So we're going to try really, really hard not to mess this up."
They will start at Anomaly in early December 2013.
At the same time Geoff Gray will be changing his relationship with Anomaly London, relinquishing his role as a Partner and becoming a collaborator with the company working on entrepreneurial ventures.
