Allianz Global Assistance China Settles its Second Operation Center in Chengdu Tianfu Software Park
CHENGDU, China, Dec. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Allianz Global Assistance, the global top-level assistance company under Allianz Group, a Fortune Global 500 company and one of the leading insurance companies in Europe, has decided to locate its second assistance operation center after Beijing in Chengdu Tianfu Software Park. The center will provide roadside assistance, travel and medical assistance, invoice processing and reimbursement for service providers in China supporting Chinese, English and Japanese languages. This new global assistance operation center will cover an office space of 2,200 square meters and will employ 307 employees by the end of 2013.
Allianz Global Assistance (formerly the Mondial Assistance Group) formally expanded to China in 2003 and became China's first foreign-owned company providing professional roadside assistance services for car manufacturers.
In recent years, Chengdu, the most important economy in West China, has attracted many multinational companies to set up operation centers thanks to its diversified talent pool, low operating costs, efficient government and first-class infrastructure. The city has become the second largest cluster for shared service centers in China only after Shanghai. Since 2009, a large number of international companies including DHL, Maersk, Amazon, ANZ, Manulife, Siemens, Huawei, and PwC have located their back office operation centers in Chengdu Tianfu Software Park. Today, shared services centers have become one of the most important clusters besides telecommunication, digital entertainment, information security and mobile internet industries in the park.
"The joining of Allianz Global Assistance will further enhance our confidence to develop this sector," said Victor Jansson, vice president of Chengdu Tianfu Software Park.
