Anite Enables Public Safety Vendors to Perform Drive Test Measurements of Band 14 LTE Networks to Improve the Quality of Mission-critical Voice and Data Services
OULU, Finland, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Anite and Elektrobit ("EB") successfully test interoperability between Elektrobit's EB Specialized Device Platform and Anite's Nemo Outdoor drive test solution
Anite, a global leader in wireless network testing technology, today announced that Anite and EB, a company specialized in demanding embedded software and hardware solutions for the automotive industry and wireless technologies, have successfully demonstrated interoperability between Anite's Nemo Outdoor drive test solution and Elektrobit's EB Specialized Device Platform (SDP). This collaboration will strengthen both companies' product capabilities targeted to the Public Safety market.
Support for new LTE Band 14-capable devices and chipsets, including EB's SDP, has been developed to complement the existing support in Anite's laptop-based drive test tool, Nemo Outdoor and Nemo FSR1 frequency scanner. Anite's Nemo tools have been used for the last ten years on the European public safety network, TETRA, ensuring that the networks work as intended and provide a high quality of experience for demanding end-users.
"New LTE networks are increasingly being designed for specific purposes, such as Public Safety, Security, and Industrial applications. These networks are often interlinked with legacy systems using configurations and custom applications that require advanced testing capabilities. Anite's collaborative engagement with EB is an investment in the future and enables our customers to thoroughly test their network and applications before launch, thereby saving time and money", says Kai Ojala, CTO at Anite's Network Testing business.
"Our customers and partners, including world-leading system integrators, service providers and OEMs, often need to test their purpose-built LTE systems in the field. With Anite we have built a solution that not only does the job, but does it extremely well and provides immediate results that benefit the whole LTE Band 14 ecosystem", says Jani Lyrintzis, Vice President of EB's Wireless Business Segment Development and Sales in the US.
Anite's Nemo Outdoor drive test solution and EB's SDP joint demonstrations are now available for selected Public Safety customers. For more information, please contact nemo.sales@anite.com.
