apetito Selects Movilitas Consulting as SAP Traceability Partner

A leading frozen food and catering services company, apetito, has teamed up with Movilitas Consulting to support its keen focus on traceability using its SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This new partnership underpins apetito's approach of customer care through its provision of developing, making and delivering nutritious meals to individuals, care homes, hospitals and local authorities. It also places apetito as one of a small number of elite suppliers that have complete control over the major part of their supply chains.
apetito is an earlier adopter of SAP and has used it successfully across its manufacturing and multiple distribution sites. With the increasing requirement for more detailed food traceability and a need to make its warehouse operation more efficient to deal with rapid growth, apetito sought an SAP partner that could help the company achieve its objectives.
apetito selected Movilitas Consulting, because the firm could offer local expertise backed by a large resource of SAP traceability experts already engaged in track and trace integration projects with some of the largest organisations in the UK.

Movilitas Consulting will deliver apetito's traceability in two phases: warehouse optimisation through reconfiguring the ERP system and by introducing wireless, electronic stock management using RF terminals and production improvements to give greater visibility and more efficient use of raw materials and ingredients throughout food production.
