Designed for service providers, Aptilo VWM is a powerful tool to sell attractive managed B2B and B2B2C Wi-Fi services to venues. It expands on Aptilo's Venue Wi-Fi expertise with a new multitenancy Captive Portal and Analytics architecture combined with a state-of-the-art user interface.
"Venue Wi-Fi is a growth opportunity for service providers working in an otherwise saturated market. Aptilo VWM makes it easy and effective for service providers to roll out compelling guest Wi-Fi services to venues and enterprises," said Paul Mikkelsen, CEO, Aptilo Networks. "Venue Wi-Fi also provides a way for the operators to go into these businesses to sell more products and services as well as enhance indoor coverage."
With Aptilo VWM, operators can enable and manage Wi-Fi services to multiple venue owners and enterprises from the same scalable platform. Aptilo's Captive Portal templates can easily be tailored to each venue. Operators can also allow customers to modify parts of the captive portals themselves even down to a single location.
Analytics - such as user demographic data and a multitude of different data patterns - are provided to individual venues in an easy-to-use web GUI using Aptilo VWM's scalable Analytics engine. The ability to analyze visitors and trends is often as equally valuable to venue owners as the Wi-Fi service itself.
Aptilo VWM is a new module for the Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP), a proven carrier-class product featuring linear scalability and geographical redundancy.
With 100+ service provider deployments, Aptilo SMP supports all authentication methods, business models and carrier-grade gateways. Aptilo SMP can also combine a seamless login, using for instance SIM authentication, with user engagement through a portal or SMS at the venue.
"Carrier Wi-Fi is all about seamless and secure login while Venue Wi-Fi is all about user engagement and branding," said Johan Terve, VP Marketing, Aptilo Networks. "Aptilo uniquely brings these two worlds together."
Aptilo VWM will be available April 2016. For more information, visit Aptilo at Mobile World Congress, stand 5G66.
