- New Customer Experience Management Solution Eases Service Level Management Burden
- See Demonstrations in Aricent's Booth #9 at the TM Forum's Management World 2011
DUBLIN, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aricent(R), a global innovation and technology services company, today announced an alliance with Monolith Software, the market's first and only unified IT infrastructure management software provider. Under the terms of this agreement, Aricent will combine Monolith Software's service assurance software with its own service and IP portfolio to help the companies' service provider customers develop and maintain their networks. By doing so, service providers - both wired and wireless - will be able to streamline their operations to reduce operating expenditures, as well as create management systems for new networks that enable providers to begin generating revenue quickly and easily.
Today's announcement addresses a deep market need for advanced technology that service providers require to assure the quality of voice, video and data services. These requirements are specifically met with the new Aricent/Monolith bundled offering entitled Customer Experience Management (CEM). CEM will be showcased in Aricent's booth #9 at the TM Forum's Management World conference and tradeshow, May 24th through 26th, in Dublin, Ireland.
"With this new broad set of bundled communications services and industry-leading software, Aricent now has an enhanced capability to help service providers develop and deploy systems which better optimize service assurance operations to deliver a superior customer experience," said Patrick Joggerst, executive vice president and general manager at Aricent.
With its one consistent rules engine, unified data warehouse and consolidated multi-tenant interface, Monolith offers a unique service assurance solution to provide optimized event and performance management across a wide range of service provider networks and services. Jeff Parker, president of Monolith Software elaborates, "The Monolith approach is unlike traditional network management infrastructure options that take an acquired portfolio of tools and string them together into a complex and fragile infrastructure. Our unified solution is built from a single code set to automate manual monitoring functions while providing advanced, end-to-end analysis. Or simply put: Monolith is empowering Aricent with a strong service delivery foundation for its new CEM offering."
The Aricent and Monolith Software agreement creates a partnership that combines a best-in-class software solution and an innovative, industry-based engineering capability that provides Communications Service Providers (CSPs) with ready-made solutions to existing problems. The solution provides for a reduction of effort to maintain and extend the implementation, intuitive user interface and dashboards for instant access to critical service information. In addition, the unique approach drastically reduces the skill set required to operate the network infrastructure and services while minimizing the time for daily tasks in terms of operations, support and troubleshooting.
"Aricent's collaboration with Monolith Software is targeted specifically at helping service providers unify existing service assurance operations, many of which are too complex as well as expensive to maintain and extend," added Joggerst. "But service providers also need the flexibility of extending operations to support customer experience, which is the value added by Aricent's engineering services to extend Monolith's technology. Together, we provide a holistic solution that can assess and assure availability and quality of service as experienced by the end customer."
"We are proud to join forces with Aricent. Combining our talents, we provide a flexible, easy-to-maintain solution that evolves with rapidly changing operational requirements. For the first time in the service assurance space, a unified platform is available to provide customizable real-time dashboards and Service Level Assurance (SLA) support to optimize any service provider's operations," Parker concluded.
