LONDON, October 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
ATC Global's annual air traffic management conference and exhibition is setting the conditions for a landmark gathering in Amsterdam for its 23rd year. Organisers for the leading industry event can confirm visitor registration is already up 8% compared to this time last year.
Entries for the recently-announced Excellence Awards are mounting up and a distinguished collection of speakers have attached their names to the expanded three-day global ATM conference: Real World Perspectives Driving Real World Change, taking place on 12 - 14 March 2013.
The Agenda, published on 25th September, will push the debate forward from ICAO's 12th Air Navigation Conference in November, to address the progress being made with the ANC 2012 Block Upgrades, evaluate the reality of progress made by ANSPs so far and discuss a real world timetable of implementation. As an independent forum, ATC Global will be encouraging honest peer-to-peer assessment of ANSP performance through the creation of a "scorecard" of measurable criteria.
Over three days, the carefully constructed conference agenda will see senior industry representatives taking part in 13 different presentations and six panel discussions from a line-up that can already confirm Directors, Vice-Presidents and CEOs from the European Commission, ALTA, IFATCA, IACA, ASECNA, Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority and EASA as well as executive appearances from Emirates, Iberia, Atlantic Airways and American Airlines. These sessions will be punctuated by numerous networking opportunities, including the ATC Global VIP Dinner and ATC Global 2013 Excellence Awards ceremony, to be hosted in the Grand Elicium Ball Room on Tuesday 12th March.
In conjunction with leading industry publication Air Traffic Management Magazine, ATC Global will be presenting awards in ten categories, all of which are now open for nomination. These Awards will be the first of their kind to recognise an individual within the industry and to open the selection to an industry-wide vote; in the case of the Executive Leadership Award for lasting commitment to the industry. Other categories already proving popular are The ATC Global Award for Strategic Advancement in Air Transport, recognising a lasting contribution to the strategic advancement in air transport, and The Industry Partnership of the Year rewarding positive outcomes from collaboration between aviation stakeholders.
"After 22 years of delivering the global ATM industry's annual Conference and Exhibition, it is encouraging to see the conference agenda already so well developed. ATC Global started out as an independent forum for honest debate and efficient networking between the broadest international variety of ANSPs, suppliers and regulators. This year's conference agenda and awards categories place a strong emphasis on regional interoperability," said Paula Milburn, ATC Global Director.
Due to industry demand, the VIP and Hosted Buyer Programmes have grown again for 2013. ATC Global subsidises the cost of pre-qualified ANSPs to attend the event with civil and military delegations from Latin America, Middle East, Asia and Far East already confirmed to attend ATC Global in Amsterdam next year. ATC Global is the only ATM event where organisations benefit from a dedicated team that compiles the desired product and service offerings of each exhibitor and matches these with the investment plans of the relevant buyers, allowing all parties to agree on an efficient and well-planned meeting schedule months prior to the event.
After 76% of exhibitors from the 2012 event said they "saw visitors at the show that we wouldn't see anywhere else", the number of booked exhibitors for March 2013 has risen to over 110. Exhibitors and delegates from across the industry are now planning their participation in the 30 workshops and seminars that will be spread over the three days of the event.
