AVG Appoints Judith Bitterli as Senior Vice President of Marketing

AVG Technologies N.V. (NYSE: AVG), the provider of Internet and mobile security to 143 million active users, today announced the appointment of Judith Bitterli as Senior Vice President of Marketing, reporting to John Giamatteo, Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Ms Bitterli will oversee the company's global marketing and communications operations.

With over twenty-five years of executive level experience in sales, marketing and business operations, Ms. Bitterli joins AVG from RealNetworks where she was Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President. Her responsibilities will include Business Intelligence, PR and social media, branding strategy and implementation as well as establishing a voice of the customer.
