During the show, AVI-SPL will illustrate the flexibility of its Virtual Meeting Room service as it connects from a desktop, Lync system, mobile device and more. The VMR service leverages AVI-SPL's high availability virtual architecture to create a Video as a Service (VaaS) offering for a reliable, scalable and low-cost option for virtual meetings. The unique design also enables larger enterprises to support the growing trend of BYOD (bring your own device) and provides a secure virtual meeting room outside the corporate network for mobile users.
AVI-SPL will also showcase its patented and award-winning VNOC Symphony, the first software platform to automate the complex, backend processes needed to schedule, monitor and manage video conferencing and AV resources. Symphony's recent release of version 3.1 includes enhanced reporting capabilities and expanded AV monitoring features, with over 3,000 AV devices from leading manufacturers now supported with AVI-SPL's AV monitoring service.
In addition, AVI-SPL will demonstrate its patent-pending meeting environment privacy product Block ME, a 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award winner. Block ME addresses the concern of unauthorized video calls launching in meeting rooms. Users simply press a button to stop video calls from being initiated or received. The control is in the hands of the user with no need for technical expertise because at a glance, you'll know if the device is engaged. Green means calls are unblocked; red means calls are blocked.
"As people increasingly embrace video communications as a critical component of their collaboration strategy, they demand more from it. They want to take it outside of the boardroom to their desktop and mobile devices," said Mike Brandofino, executive vice president of video and unified communications. "It's our job to provide solutions and services that meet these growing demands and elevate the user experience. At this year's ISE show, I think we'll show the European market that AVI-SPL is the only partner they need for all of their collaboration needs."
Also during ISE 2014, members of AVI-SPL's leadership team will participate in presentations on topics affecting today's business communications, including:
