Ballast Nedam - Appointment Member Supervisory Board
NIEUWEGEIN, The Netherlands, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As a result of resignation of Mrs M.H. Schultz van Haegen - Maas Geesteranus as member of the Supervisory Board on 13 October 2010, the Supervisory Board announces it will be nominating the following candidate at the General Meeting of Shareholders on 19 May 2011.
Nomination of Mr J. Bout
To fill the vacant seat, the Supervisory Board is nominating Mr J. Bout (1946) as a new member of the Board.
Mr Bout held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Royal Haskoning until January 2011.
He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Delta N.V, a company not noted on the Stock Exchange and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Deltares.
He also holds other positions such as Chairman of the Workgroup Economic Rebuilding Afghanistan, Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the Donders Institute, member of the Board of the Ubbo Emmius Fund and member of the Board of the Kasteel de Haar Foundation.
Draft agenda for the General Meeting of Shareholders The General Meeting of Shareholders of Ballast Nedam N.V. will be held on 19 May 2011. At the meeting, the voting on the resolutions for the above appointment will take place.
