Ballast Nedam Signs New Contract for Carolina Bridge

Ballast Nedam has reached a new agreement with the Ministry of Public Works of Surinam for the design and construction of the Carolina bridge across the Surinam river. A separate agreement includes the settlement of the termination of an earlier contract for the Carolina bridge by the Ministry in August 2011.
The project management on behalf of the Ministry of Public Works is administered by a consortium of four engineering firms from Surinam. The contract value of the design and construction of the bridge amounts to approximately 19 million euro.
