LONDON, February 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Sir Alex Ferguson may be busy plotting the downfall of Real Madrid but bookmaker's Betfred have made the United gaffer 16/1 to land another major prize.
Today at a special lunch at the Savoy Hotel in London the official weights for the John Smith's Grand National were announced and Fergie part owns two of the entries.
Harry The Viking is 25/1 and What A Friend 33/1 with Betfred, the official bookmaker of the Grand National.
Betfred boss Fred Done,
"I've already paid out on Manchester United winning the title and that's cost me over £300,000 but Fergie winning the Grand National would cost me a lot more. The world's greatest manager is 16/1 to win the world's greatest steeplechase."
Meanwhile born and bred United fan Fred Done believes the Red Devils can knock out Real Madrid.
"The league is in the bag, that's why I've paid out early, but I honestly think United can add the Champions League and the FA Cup. I had my doubts at the start of the season but I believe this team is better than the treble winners of 1999. It's 20/1 to happen and as a United fan, I would love to pay out on that."
Manchester United are 9/2 to win at the Bernabeu and 6/5 to qualify for the quarter-finals at http://www.betfred.com
