In a half year-results video interview, BSkyB Chief Executive Jeremy Darroch reveals that the company put in a strong performance across all areas of the business during the period.
"I was pleased overall with our performance. And it's been another quarter of good growth. We added 800,000 product sales during the quarter, we grew our base of household's to 10.5m UK homes and the financial performance of the business was really very strong, so we've delivered another half year of double digit growth in cash flow, profit, earnings."
He also announces that as well as launching its dedicated Formula 1 channel in the second half, BSkyB will also be unveiling its own OTT service.
Commenting on the financial results, CFO Andrew Griffith describes how the company was able to achieve 6% growth despite the customer price freeze currently in place. He also outlines the reasons behind a slight uptick in capex during the half and gives an update on local loop unbundling progress:
