Those interested in entering must be a legal Texas resident and at least 18 years of age or older by August 1, 2014.
Artists can participate by completing the electronic sign-up form available at www.huntingartprize.com and uploading one digital image of their artwork in a JPEG format. A single two-dimensional piece that complies with the terms and conditions may be submitted for the prize.
All entries must be received by Hunting PLC by midnight on Sunday, November 30, 2014.
After submissions have been reviewed to ensure compliance with contest rules, the entries will undergo a two-tiered jury process. A panel of jurors will first evaluate the digital entries and select artists to move on to the final tier. These finalists will be asked to submit the original artwork uploaded as their digital entry for the final round of judging to determine the winning piece.
The recipient of the 2015 Hunting Art Prize will be announced at a gala in Houston on May 2, 2015.
The Hunting Art Prize is historically the most generous annual award in North America for painting and drawing. In 2006, the competition moved to Houston, where Hunting's North American headquarters are located, after a quarter-century in the United Kingdom.
