LONDON, Feb. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Fitzgerald Services LLP (Cantor) today announced the appointment of Anthony J. Simpson to its management board as a non-executive member, with effect from 18th September 2012. Mr. Simpson will provide guidance and advice on Cantor's European strategy and will play an important part in guiding the group's European operations in the current regulatory environment.

Mr. Simpson is Managing Director of MKP Capital Europe, based in London. Prior to joining MKP, he was a member of the Executive Committee and Co-Head of Global Business Development at Financial Risk Management. Earlier, he served as Co-Head of Global Business Development at Ramius and at Merrill Lynch where he held a number of senior business development roles. Mr. Simpson also held a number of sales leadership roles at Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs in London. Mr. Simpson holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA in Finance from Dartmouth College.
Mr. Simpson's appointment has been approved by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Cantor is authorised and regulated in the United Kingdom by the Financial Services Authority (reference number 149380), and is a member of the London Stock Exchange.
