BASEL, Switzerland, December 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
The startup company cashcloud has completed a third financing round with new investors. In total, several million Swiss francs were raised to be used in the coming months to develop and distribute the mobile cashcloud eWallet.
Sven Donhuysen, Chairman of Cashcloud Holding AG, is pleased with the recent success: "We started very successfully with our eWallet, which is confirmed both by users and by official authorities - as proof, we just won the Banking IT Innovation Award 2014. Therefore we are pleased with the confidence of our new investors. It allows us to continue on the chosen path." Cashcloud was just rewarded for its visionary implementation and functionality of its eWallet. While winning the Banking IT Innovation Award 2014, cashcloud was able to prevail against PayPal and Yapital. With the market entry of Apple Pay in the United States NFC is now a technical standard. "We were convinced from the beginning that contactless payments via NFC will be the only acceptable approach," Donhuysen adds.
