With over a decade at Centerplate and its preceding companies, Pile most recently served as the company's executive responsible for hospitality services at a number of leading cultural and entertainment attractions including the Twycross Zoo, the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, and the RAF Hendon Museum, among others.
Trained as a chef, Pile entered the industry as a culinarian before expanding to management roles, which included serving as the principal of a sports and leisure strategic consultancy, as well as directing all catering operations on behalf of Everton FC at Goodison Park and Liverpool FC at Anfield. He has especially strong expertise in guest experience strategic consulting, facility design, new service mobilsation, and large-scale event management.
As Director of New Business Partnerships, Pile will leverage his considerable talent and extensive network to partner with clients and prospective clients in developing guest experience and business building strategies.
"We are excited to bring Simon Pile into a leadership role to further strengthen our service offerings and form new client partnerships," said Adrian Dishington, Chief Operating Officer of Centerplate's UK operations. "After over a decade of exceptional service to Centerplate and an impressive record of achievement in the industry, Simon is the perfect choice to assist in building Centerplate's and our clients' business."
His promotion underscores Centerplate's commitment to creating memorable hospitality experiences for its guests while maximising returns for clients. The news comes on the heels of other recent Centerplate accomplishments, including contracts to design and serve Atletico de Madrid's new stadium, design consulting for Barcelona FC, and the design and operations of Brighton 360, and the company's renewal of catering services at Sunderland AFC's Stadium of Light.
