The spirit of the association has always been: to produce wine for women sensitive to environmental sustainability, culture, history and tradition. The anniversary tasting was a unique opportunity to taste ten works of art from 1988, a great year with peaks of excellence such as the wine La Scolca "Gavi dei Gavi", Gavi 1988 from Scolca Chiara Soldati, Piedmont.
A great emotion opened the tasting that was defined as "a dream to live in a glass" as 10 major labels had been chosen from the great vintage 1988: La Scolca, Masi, Allegrini, and Zenato, just to name a few.
"Behind every wine is hidden an extraordinary human intelligence that has created something unique," said Chiara Soldati, presenting the historic "Gavi dei Gavi"™.

"It seems so strange to have an extraordinary longevity for a simple Gavi. We have 94 Vintages for Soldati's family (Soldati in Italian means 'soldiers'), who wanted to believe in Cortese for a great future."
The great knowledge of the vineyard has led the company to make courageous choices of cultivation, working with a raw material with great acidity and minerality, and ensuring these elements are all well-balanced.
Chiara Soldati, the sixth generation in the La Scolca company, which is approaching its centenary, has managed the estate with her father George for over 20 years. The story starts from her memories, the scent of the wine, then moves on to projects for the production of white from aging plants planted on stony soils and deep roots that are able to come up with a great minerality and notes saline. The wine has a golden yellow color, shows no signs of iperoxidation, has nose memories of tobacco and tropical fruit on the palate, making true the famous statement by Mario Soldati, "Wine is the poetry of the earth."
