Chiltern expands PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year involvement as sponsor, host and winner
LONDON and WILMINGTON, North Carolina, April 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Chiltern, a leading global CRO, has earned two Clinical Researcher of the Year (CRoY) winners in the UK, joining the five finalists previously announced from the US. Sarah Jones earned the Gold Pharma in the CTA category and Helen Greenleaf earned Bronze as an Aspiring CRA. Both Chiltern Source professionals are working with Novartis.
"We are very pleased for Helen and Sarah to earn this recognition as top performers in the industry," commented Nannette Penny, Chiltern's Executive Director for Chiltern Source in Europe. "They both have the skills and motivation to do great things in their clinical research careers, and have contributed significantly to Chiltern's strong partnership with Novartis."
With a rich history of finalists and winners in the Clinical Researcher of the Year competitions, Chiltern has been a premier sponsor for this year's Americas and International events. The International individual finals occurred on 19th March in the UK with results announced during a ceremony on 23rd April in London. And after the Americas finals were postponed due to inclement weather in February, Chiltern has expanded its relationship with PharmaTimes to host the rescheduled Americas competition June 4th in Cary, NC.
Bill Donovan, Chiltern's Chief Source Officer, stated, "We're delighted with the recognition for Chiltern during this year's PharmaTimes CRoY competitions. Chiltern Source is working to develop and strengthen the people of our industry, and this competition represents the epitome of what we're striving to achieve for the clinical research talent pool. To have seven finalists globally, and now to host the competition also, is very exciting. I'm proud of our team and their efforts and we welcome the Americas finalists coming to Chiltern in June."
The PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year is a multi-stage competition designed to test the knowledge, competency and innovation toward finding the top performing clinical researchers globally. Finals are run separately for Americas and International, during which competitors complete a one-day case-based challenge presentation in front of a panel of judges. Finalists have been chosen by executive committees of industry experts from small and large biopharmaceutical companies, site management groups, CROs, and other organizations involved in clinical research.
