CHTF 2013: Smart Home Builds Your Smart Life
SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) 2013, which opened on Nov. 16 in Shenzhen, attracted dozens of universities and corporations that devote themselves to the research and development of the smart home. Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen University, the R&D Center of IOT (Internet of Things) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and other institutions showed their latest products and solutions in the fields of smart home from three aspects: management system, remote-control and smart monitoring, as well as wireless technology.
Take the "smart green furniture" developed by the R&D Center of IOT for example. This system, with the core technology of the home gateway of IOT, can carry out functions like exterior communication, data smart processing and video editing and decoding by connecting ZigBee with a sensor or executor in the house. This kind of wireless transmission can get rid of interference caused by wiring.
"Green system of power reservation" is another kind of technology, which, combined with smart furniture, can reserve solar power or electricity generated by other green energy in case of power shortages at night, cloudy or rainy days or without adequate power supplies, by which, will reduce the dependence on the power grid as much as possible.
Besides "the system of remote identification and control by switches" and "the access control system of face identification," Shenzhen University also brought the smart furniture system, which can solve the problem of wiring between equipment and reduce the interference from the indoor environment by making full use of the carrier wave's reliability in high-effective communication through a 220V power line in a short distance and in the data transmission process.
