LONDON, Sept. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the success of the SAP BPC Benchmarking Study and the Annual Close Cycle Rankings 2015, Column5 is joining their partners in EPM International to release the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Research Study for Corporate Headquarters, 2015.

EPM International is a unique alliance between five specialist Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) consultancies, bringing together over 500 EPM implementation and Finance Transformation specialists worldwide. EPMi carries out this highly focused and unique Corporate Headquarters EPM Study every 5 years. Previously published reports have been met with great acclaim from participants. In addition, many have used their personalised results to identify improvement opportunities and build their business case for further EPM improvements. As the challenges and issues surrounding EPM change with the times, it is important to keep the study results up-to-date.
"Previous studies, in 2006 and 2011, saw over 250 international corporations participate, and it was widely complimented by those who participated for the value and insight it added. We hope to have even more companies participate this year now that Column5 is part of the EPMi team," stated David Jones, Managing Director of Column5 in EMEA and EPMi Research Director.
Unlike the SAP BPC Benchmarking Study, which is SAP customer specific, this study is open to all companies irrespective of which EPM or ERP tools they are using. The EPMi team covers all leading EPM solutions. This allows the opportunity for greater participation and much greater focus on EPM processes alongside EPM systems. It is best suited for financial professionals working at the Corporate Centre of international groups of companies, such as CFOs and Group Financial Controllers. There are also three options for ways to take the study: online questionnaire, paper questionnaire, or interview. Companies may work with contacts at Column5 to decide on the method that works best for them.
The study covers all the key EPM processes at the corporate headquarter level, including: Strategic Planning, Operational Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Legal Reporting, Management Reporting and Consolidation, Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, and Risk Management.
Column5 has multiple goals in being a part of the unique EPM Research Study for Corporate Headquarters. CEO David Den Boer said, "This is a great opportunity for us and our clients to learn even more about best practices in EPM. We are dedicated to not only using our experience to define best practices, but to also use a scientific approach to validate and evolve those best practices as corporate organisations face the challenges of 2016 and beyond. We want to be able to tell participants specifically where they fall within the benchmarks the study delivers, and these detailed questions will enable that. Column5 wants to focus its services on helping organisations address troubled areas of performance management common in the study findings."
Each corporate participant will receive a summary report highlighting key learnings and benchmarks from the study. Those who participate can also receive an individual benchmark for their organisation compared to the total study population and their industry peer group, alongside a reflection on areas for possible improvement and the business benefits arising.
The study already has over 100 participants, and is open until 31st October 2015. For more information and to participate in the study, please visit http://www.column5.com/epm-group-reporting-study-2015 and register your interest. We will then contact you to discuss the most appropriate method of data collection.
