Comfort Insurance Take a Look at Staycations
LONDON, August 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
With the summer now beginning to draw to a close, many people may look to take last-minute holidays before the new school term starts again and the usual working routine recommences as we inevitably count down towards the Christmas break. However, instead of going abroad, many UK holidaymakers have opted to stay in the UK in order to soak up those final few rays of British sun and, ultimately, save money and effort going abroad.
Comfort Insurance, a leading Motorhome Insurance website, has suggested that a "staycation" can be just as enjoyable as going abroad, with the Managing Director, Peter Cue, having seen a rise in the number of people opting for a so-called "staycation". He commented: "The number of people choosing to remain in the UK for a summer holiday has been on the rise in recent years. Not only are people choosing to stay in hotels across the UK, they are also making use of their motorhomes in order to travel to some remote part of the country for some quiet, relaxing time away. Motorhome owners must, however, be thoroughly prepared before setting out."
Comfort Insurance has stated that motorhome owners should check their motorhome over before taking to the road, whilst it is also important to carry out their research in order to ensure they know exactly where they are going. In addition, it will be worth researching potential places to stay in order to be sure they'll have a great time.
"Staycations" have become so popular in the UK that new motorhome rental services have popped up around the country whilst the number of motorhome owners has increased. Furthermore, recent research has revealed that 91% of British people planned to take a holiday in the UK in 2012 which is 23% more than last year.
Particular UK hotspots, according to Comfort Insurance, are the Yorkshire Dales, Dartmoor, Snowdonia, Devon, Cornwall and Dorset amongst many other beautiful locations in the UK.
