Comfort Insurance Warn Motorhome Owners to Check Their Vehicle
LONDON, February 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
As we begin to gradually move out of winter and into spring, a larger number of people will be dusting down their motorhome in order to get back out on the roads and explore the great British countryside.
However, Managing Director at Comfort Insurance, Peter Cue, has been warning motorhome owners that several checks need to be carried out before they take to the roads. He's been explaining: "Owners of motorhomes must thoroughly check their vehicles over because several problems can crop up when the vehicles are left stationary for long periods. In particular, owners should examine their vehicles' tyre pressures."
Furthermore, Comfort Insurance is instructing motorhome owners to check their oil over as, often during winter, oil can build condensation. Therefore it may even be a good idea to have the oil entirely changed. The water levels will also be worth checking as well as maintaining the general upkeep of the vehicle when taking it out of storage.
Comfort have also stated that it will also be important to let the vehicle warm up and let the transmission fluid levels rise to a healthy temperature too. When bringing your vehicle out of storage, with a little care and attention, it can be a stress-free process.
