-- Mobile Metrix Provides Measurement of Browser and App Audiences for Mobile Devices
LONDON, Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today announced the Beta launch of Mobile Metrix® in Ireland for reporting of mobile browser and app audiences on smartphones and tablets. Mobile Metrix helps publishers demonstrate the size and value of their mobile audiences and helps media planners and buyers better evaluate advertising opportunities on mobile devices. Mobile Metrix was the first service of its kind to enter the market in the U.S. and it has expanded to other European markets in 2014 including Finland, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia and Turkey.

"Mobile Metrix delivers insight into how consumers are engaging with content across sites, apps, device types and operating systems, bringing critical third-party measurement to this significant and rapidly evolving space," said Mike Read, SVP and Managing Director for comScore in the UK. "This information is essential for publishers who want to make better informed decisions on the evolution of their mobile offerings and identify new opportunities to monetise their digital audience, while also providing intelligence for media buyers and planners who want to develop more effective campaigns."
As part of comScore's global rollout of Mobile Metrix, the version of the product in Ireland leverages comScore's census-based methodology that enables in-market mobile measurement without the need for a traditional mobile panel. The output delivers person-centric measurement for tagged entities. Publishers needing to understand and monetise their mobile audiences can improve their measurement by ensuring complete implementation of tagging for all pages and apps. Only tagged entities can be featured in the comScore rankings due to this census-only approach.
Mobile Metrix helps to answer the following questions:
- What is the audience size and composition on mobile sites and apps?
- How does mobile usage at various publishers differ between smartphones and tablets?
- How do mobile audiences vary by operating system?
- Which web sites / apps / content categories are growing fastest on mobile platforms?
- How is your mobile web site or app performing vs. your competitors and vs. the market as a whole?
comScore will be reporting its initial findings from Mobile Metrix at the IAB Ireland Mobile Connect conference on the 30th of October in Dublin.
