Conference and Exhibition Service Resources of Beijing Attend UFI Congress
BEIJING, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A number of landmark exhibition brands, over 800 hotels and other supporting resources of Beijing attend the 82nd Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Congress. The total exhibition space of Beijing exceeds 670,000 square meters. During the Congress sessions, Beijing introduces its resources and prospects to the world, hoping to promote global cooperation and exchange.
UFI is considered to be a significant international organization of exhibition industry. The 82nd UFI Congress is held in Milan, Italy, November 4 to 7. Beijing Commerce Commission and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) participate and deliver speeches during the Congress sessions to recommend exhibition resources, service capabilities and advantages of Beijing.
Mr. Zhang Gang, vice president of CCPIT, says that in terms of exhibition scale, Beijing has held as many as 1000 exhibitions, covering a total space of 10 million square meters. Exhibitions like Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services, International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo and International High-Tech Expo have become significant signature of city culture. Beijing has provided 673,900 square meters for global exhibitions. Twelve main convention venues for conferences in Beijing cover a total space of 1.2 million square meters, meeting requirements of conference and exhibition of different scales.
Beijing is gradually improving service system now, says Zhang Gang. Combining with China's "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region" integration strategy of economy, the three regions have realized resource complementarity, information sharing and industrial linkage. Located in the center of the "four vertical and four horizontal" high-speed railway network, Beijing enjoys fast and convenient transportation. It takes only 2 hours from Beijing to Tianjin or Hebei Province now. In addition, over 800 star hotels and 130,000 guest rooms are available for global exhibitions and conferences.
Taking this opportunity, Beijing will increase interaction with the global exhibition industry and international communication with other countries.
By January 2015, UFI had recruited 670 formal members from 83 countries around the world. UFI-approved international exhibitions or trade fairs had reached 929.
