Core Informatics Releases Core ELN Chemistry Application on Platform for Science
BRANFORD, Connecticut, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Core Informatics is excited to announce the release of its new chemistry app for Platform for Science. The newly developed Core ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) Chemistry application is designed to help chemists document research activities and compound registration in the cloud. This is made possible through the Platform for Science, the scientific informatics market's only Scientific Platform-as-a-Service (sPaaS).
The Core ELN Chemistry app, developed through a partnership with ChemAxon, streamlines daily documentation responsibilities of research chemists across all R&D disciplines including analytical, medicinal, process, & CRO. It provides a chemically intelligent and flexible environment which allows scientists to manage synthetic transformations, capture experimental details and analytical results supporting internal and contract syntheses. Compound registration is augmented by powerful search capabilities that span reagents, compounds, experiments, instruments, collaborators, and synthetic campaigns.
As part of the Platform for Science, the Core ELN Chemistry app can be used in the cloud - allowing immediate secure access to research data from anywhere, on any device, from any web browser. Designed in conjunction with ChemAxon's latest software offering, the Core ELN Chemistry application provides users convenient access to calculated chemical properties and the ability to edit chemical structures on any mobile device from any browser using Marvin for JavaScript.
The Platform for Science has created a truly global data network for scientific collaboration and data management. This new environment is essential in light of the growing trend of research externalization, where experiments are shared amongst a global network of researchers.
"We developed the Core ELN Chemistry application to help our clients accelerate their research cycle time while increasing operational efficiency leveraging externalization or contract chemical synthesis," said Josh Geballe, CEO of Core Informatics. "This integration provides economic efficiencies to our clients while allowing users to work within secure instances of the application."
The Platform for Science contains an increasing number of apps in its library including, but not limited to: Chem ELN, Bio ELN, Compound Registration, Biological Registration, and a collection of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows that provide out-of-the-box support for Illumina and Ion Torrent platforms.
