Corporate Engagement Awards 2013 Winners Announced
LONDON, September 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Communicate magazine is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 Corporate Engagement Awards. At last night's gala dinner and awards show, hosted by Paralympian, Ade Adepitan, gold, silver and bronze awards were distributed to the best in corporate sponsorship and philanthropy.
We are pleased to announce that the evening's Grand Prix went to Intuit's PopUp Britain project in partnership with Start Up Britain. Launched in 2011 as a response to the government's call for the development of entrepreneurship awareness programmes, the project now works to provide assistance for the UK's SMEs by providing them with low-cost high street premises.
The programme also took home gold awards for 'Best open-ended partnership', and received acknowledgement as the Grand Prix winner on the basis of its innovative aspects and ability to address a prevalent economic and social issue through a unique solution.
The awards shortlist featured covered 19 categories, in which gold awards were won by 13 different partnerships. Both Hyde park and 20th Century Fox's partnership and TCS' sponsorship of the Amsterdam marathon took home two gold awards, whilst Aviva's #1every5 campaign on behalf of international charity partner Railway Children went home with three.
Communicate magazine's publisher Andrew Thomas says the strength of this year's entries made this year's CEA a true celebration of excellence in corporate engagement.
"This was the third year for the Corporate Engagement Awards. We hosted it at a larger venue; we had more judges, with a higher profile emcee. But the biggest growth came in the calibre of entry. We were bowled over by the creativity, strategic insight and implementation skills of the campaigns and partnerships demonstrated by the shortlisted companies. There's good in business, and the Corporate Engagement Awards celebrate it."
The awards were judged by a panel of experts in corporate responsibility, sponsorship and community affairs. Entries were sorted into five categories including: sector, strategy, objective, activity and sponsored organisations, within which one to five awards were distributed. The full list of the evening's winners is available on Communicate's website.
The evening's festivities took place at the Russell Hotel, and were sponsored by World Television, PR Newswire, Investis, Prospect, PRCA and CanegieOrr.
