The CRY Walk brings together thousands of individuals with the belief that "Change is possible, because we will make it possible!" Change in the lives of children who have been denied their basic rights to live, learn, grow and play.
CRY Walk 2014 is being organised across 20 cities, including New York, New Jersey, Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Boston, Chicago among others. The event comprises 5k non-competitive walks, runs and activities for children. It provides an opportunity for the entire family to have a fun outing together and demonstrate their commitment to building a better world for children. CRY Walk commences on July 6 at the Monmouth Park in New Jersey and concludes on November 8 at SFO Bay Area.
CRY Walk 2014 is sponsored by STAR TV, TV Asia, Air India and Mera Sangeet. We thank all our event sponsors and donors for their generous support.
Speaking about the event, Shefali Sunderlal, President, CRY America said, "Events like the CRY Walk emphasize the ever-giving spirit of our volunteers, donors and supporters - each person going that extra mile to enable change in the lives of underprivileged children."
CRY America has thus far ensured lasting change in the lives of 450,832 children living across 2,642 villages and slums through support to 70 Projects in India and the USA.
"This impact has been possible only because of the support we have received from 20,885 donors and 2000 volunteers. If we all come together and address children's issues with a sense of urgency, then no child will remain illiterate, malnourished or exploited," Sunderlal concluded.
