More than 60 Falcons are in operation in Mexico and neighboring Central America. The Falcon 2000 series has been the biggest seller, accounting for more than 50% of sales in the region over the past ten years. Deliveries to Mexican customers are expected to be strong again in 2015.
"Mexican business leaders have long understood the value of the executive jet as a tool and a driver of economic growth," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon Jet. "Their exceptional short field performance, sturdiness and operating economics make Falcons ideal for local conditions, where hot and high altitude airfields are the norm."
The 5,950 nm/11,020 km tri-engine Falcon 7X has unmatched performance from Toluca, one of Mexico's most challenging airports, which it can connect nonstop to most of the major business centers in Europe. Like the Falcon 7X, the twin-engine, large cabin Falcon 2000S can operate at its maximum takeoff weight over a wide range of temperatures, offering nonstop flights to most of North America and southeast as far as Bolivia.
The Falcon Family of Business Jets
Worldwide Falcon sales and deliveries are led by the Falcon 7X, the most flexible and popular of the large cabin business jets. Last year, Dassault celebrated the rollout of the 250th 7X - the fastest any Falcon jet has ever reached this milestone. The 7X recently underwent trials in China that will permit it to operate from the highest commercial airfields in the world. It also set a new Mach 0.88 cruise speed record between Teterboro, New Jersey (near New York City) and London City.
The new 5,200 nm/9,630 km Falcon 5X and 6,450 nm/11,945 km Falcon 8X are also proving popular with business jet buyers since the programs were unveiled in 2013 and 2014. The 5X is a new-generation business jet with advanced digital flight controls and aerodynamics and other sophisticated new technologies. Due to fly later this year, it will offer the largest cabin cross section of any purpose built business jet. The 8X, which made its first flight on February 6, 2015, will offer the longest cabin of any Falcon and an unparalleled selection of cabin configurations, while benefiting from the outstanding operating economy and flexibility offered by the 7X.
Built on the legendary Falcon 900 platform, the 4,750 nm/8,800 km Falcon 900LX rounds out the Falcon line of current production aircraft. The optimized design of the 900LX, including 'High-Mach' blended winglets, enables it to burn 50-60% less fuel than any jet in its class. It can also land with a nearly full tank of fuel and fly in and out of hot and high airfields with more range than competing aircraft.
The 3,350 nm/6,204 km Falcon 2000S is the new entry-level jet in the Falcon family. Equipped with a full slate of standard features, including upgraded EASy II avionics, a FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system and a brand new cabin designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the Falcon 2000S brings large cabin comfort to the super mid-size segment. The 4,000 nm/7,408 km Falcon 2000LXS features the same inboard slats and winglets as the 2000S and offers the same exceptional landing performance with longer range.
Dassault will be located at spaces P24-P27 throughout the air show.
