DBS Law Launches Youth Road Safety Campaign in Birmingham Schools for Road Safety Week
BIRMINGHAM, England, November 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
DBS Law is today launching a campaign aimed at children for Road Safety Week, 21st - 28th November, in support of the charity Brake. This year's campaign is aimed at drivers between 17 and 24 who are four times more likely to die in a crash or cause the death of a friend because of their reckless driving than any other age group.
DBS Law is determined to get the road safety message out to young people long before they get behind the wheel, so today lawyers from the firm are launching a national Road Safety tour with presentations at two local schools.
Pupils at Harborne Primary and St Bernard's School in Mosley will be treated to the premier of an animated film "Clock on to road Safety" produced by the firm. The children will also be invited to take part in a poster painting competition.
All the entries will be exhibited at Birmingham's Waterhall Gallery in December and the winners will receive CBSO family Christmas concert tickets.
DBS Law's personal injury experts deal with the aftermath of serious road accidents every day. Managing Director Rob Bhol said, "We know that a death or serious injury caused by a car crash can devastate a family and the effect on children's lives can be literally catastrophic. It's the experience gained through the work we do that has led us to support the road safety charity Brake and put our staff to work spreading the message to young people."
DBS Law is sponsoring Brake's publicity campaign in the West Midlands and is supporting a national Brake publication for children affected by fatal road accidents bluntly entitled "Someone has died in a car crash".
Note to Editors: DBS Law based in Broad Street Birmingham operates a national personal injury business Claim Today Solicitors. Road Safety Week is an annual event aimed at involving schools, community groups and individuals.
