STUTTGART, Germany, December 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
- Global demand for safety
The international expert organisation DEKRA is continuing to grow for the eleventh year in a row. Consolidated revenues will increase by roughly 7% to around €2.5 billion in 2014, the company told journalists in Stuttgart on Thursday. At the same time, DEKRA is creating extra jobs via acquisitions and recruitment: At nearly 35,000 employees, around 2,000 more people will work for DEKRA at the end of this year than in the previous year. Almost half of the workforce, which now comprises about 100 different nationalities, is working outside Germany.
DEKRA expects further growth for 2015 and subsequent years: "We have the ambition to achieve our aim of making the world a little safer every day," said DEKRA CEO Stefan Kölbl. "This is why we will benefit more than the average from the growing trend for safety services in years to come - regardless of economic fluctuations. Our global positioning will also prove advantageous in that respect."
