TREVISO, Italy, May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
DeLclima air conditions London's new Principal Place mixed use development.
DeLclima, through its subsidiary Climaveneta, supplied 7 air conditioning units to Principal Place, a new development in central London.
Principal Place is a mixed-use development consisting of premium office, residential and retail space carried out by Brookfield, one of the world's largest owners and developers of commercial real estate across North America, the UK, and Australia.
The development includes an impressive 15-storey office building with multiple roof terraces offering views across London, for a total of 600,000 sq ft. It's a landmark residential tower, including a brand new public square made up of half an acre of public space and an events space, more than 20,000 sq ft of retail space, including cafés and restaurants, and a totally refurbished historic building to accommodate a fine dining restaurant.
Brookfield is firmly committed to sustainability and to the continuous improvement of the energy performance of its 80 million square foot global office portfolio.
At Principal Place high performance design leads to lower energy consumption, and specification of efficient systems results in reduced building running costs, with a forecasted 33% improvement on energy consumption and CO2 levels compared to a traditional building. Moreover, the HVAC system has been designed with the goal of energy efficiency and pollutant emission reduction in mind, so the comfort of this modern glazed building is guaranteed all year round by 6 TECS2-W/LC 1453 and 1 FOCS2-W/R/CA-E 1801, all supplied by Climaveneta for a total of 9243 kW cooling capacity and 478 kW heating capacity. The project has a BREEAM Excellent target.
DeLclima involvement in the Principal Place project is the result of a strong presence in the UK market demonstrated also by the participation in some of the most prestigious projects recently completed in London. The most renowned being a luxury residential development in city centre, 64-66 Wigmore Street; a mixed use self-contained building, and the recently refurbished 1 Minster Court, a landmark office development located in the heart of EC3, for a total of 21 Climaveneta units installed and about 1,5 millionPound (approx 2 million Euro) turnover made in the last quarter.
