Deloitte, the leading business advisory firm that provides audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services, is partnering with the 2015 National Business Awards to support the UK's Employer of the Year category.
The Employer of the Year award celebrates organisations seeing the best return on an investment in people. The award recognises the employee strategy that best attracts, retains and develops talent - and how it contributes to sustainable growth and being an employer of choice.
The finalists for the Employer of the Year award are:
Baringa Partners
Better Bathrooms
Fleet Alliance Ltd
GAP Hire Solutions
La Fosse Associates
Luminus
Sodexo UK and Ireland
Stott and May
The Right Fuelcard Company
Webmart
Douglas Anderson, Joint Managing Director of GAP Hire Solutions, said, "We are thrilled that GAP has been recognised as a finalist for the Employer of the Year award. We have worked very hard to ensure that GAP is seen as the employer of choice in the hire industry and our nomination verifies this status. Our talented people across our UK depot network are our biggest asset and we strive to make them feel valued in their roles here."
Andy Rogers, Sodexo organisational development and change director, said, "People are at the heart of our business and our success. Our mission is to improve quality of life for clients, customers and employees so getting shortlisted for this award is both an honour and testament to our commitment to be an employer of choice."
Judges will look for evidence of how employees are engaged in strategic goals and company values, and how human and supporting resources have been optimised to achieve and sustain commercial and competitive success. They will also look at investment in people, initiatives to create a more collaborative culture, and the impact this has had on commercial performance.
Anne-Marie Malley, head of Deloitte UK's human capital practice, said: "Deloitte UK employs more than 14,000 people and provides a vast range of services to clients across the country. We are well aware of how today's business challenges present a new wave of HR, talent and organisation priorities. In the rapidly changing world of work, businesses need to prioritise attracting, retaining and developing their people, in order to succeed. The National Business Awards' Employer of the Year award is important because it recognises an organisation who appreciates this and is working hard to look after its people."
Recognising enterprise excellence, innovation and ethics, the fourteenth annual National Business Awards will celebrate a range of achievements through accolades including the Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year, the Ashridge Business School Leader of the Year, the Market Gravity Innovation Award, the Inflexion International Growth Business of the Year and the QBE FTSE 100 Business of the Year.
The 2015 National Business Awards Gala Dinner will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane on 10th November. Visit http://www.nationalbusinessawards.co.uk to book your table.
