DESSO® Joins Debate on Circular Economy and Future of Manufacturing at World Economic Forum's 'Summer Davos 2014' in China

Desso, a leading global carpets and sports pitches company is participating in discussions on the transition to the circular economy and the future of manufacturing at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions held in Tianjin in the People's Republic of China, organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) during 10-12 September.
Established in 2007 as the foremost global gathering on science, technology, and innovation, the Annual Meeting of the New Champions convenes the next generation of fast-growing enterprises shaping the future of business and society together with leaders from major multinationals as well as government, media, academia and civil society.
Meeting under the theme Creating Value through Innovation, more than 1,600 participants from 90 countries will focus on how innovation can generate more and better value for all - for the people we serve, the organizations we lead and the societies to which we belong.

- Speaker and facilitator at Mainstreaming the Circular Economy, Wednesday 10 September, 13:30-15:00. This session brings together experts, business leaders and government officials to discuss Project MainStream and its core objective of encouraging the take up of the circular economy by more organisations. The circular economy is a regenerative model in which goods are made to be recycled, remanufactured and reused in a non-toxic closed loop system. It enables businesses to prosper in a responsible way, with a positive impact on people and the planet.
- Speaker at Strategic Shifts in Manufacturing, Wednesday 10 September, 15:45-16:45. The central topic will be: What trends, business models and emerging technologies are transforming the manufacturing sector?
