ISG to announce winners of inaugural ISG Star of Excellence Awards™
LONDON, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Industry leaders from across Europe will gather in London for the 2018 ISG Sourcing Industry Conference (SIC) EMEA, the premier annual event for service and technology providers hosted by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm.
This year's ISG SIC EMEA takes place November 5-6 at the Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch and will feature leading experts on digital transformation exploring how technology and service providers should adapt to new and emerging trends in the outsourcing industry to achieve business success.
Keynote speakers at this year's event include Tom Cochran, former White House and U.S. State Department digital leader, and Joerg Hessenmueller, divisional board member, Group Management Digital Transformation & Strategy, Commerzbank AG.
Cochran's address on Tuesday, November 6, will reveal how the application of open source technology and cloud platforms enabled the Obama Administration to digitally transform the White House with the groundbreaking "We the People" petition application.
Hessenmueller, in his address, will discuss the transformation journey of a major bank into a digital technology company, and examine whether today's financial services providers are competitors or partners of traditional IT providers.
Steve Hall, partner and president, ISG EMEA, said: "In a fast-paced environment, it's crucial to be a step ahead – not only to understand how enterprises are investing in new digital technologies today, but to prepare for the services they will be buying tomorrow.
"As digital becomes integrated into the heart of business, we're seeing a variety of new trends in the market that allow businesses to be more efficient and interconnected; for example, the increasing uptake of the Internet of Things (IoT) and wide-scale adoption of the Public Cloud."
In his keynote address on November 6, Hall will outline the five key mega-trends that are affecting how companies do business, evolve products and serve their customers; the services and tools clients are choosing, and the way clients and enterprises interact.
In addition, Esteban Herrera, partner and global leader, ISG Research, will name the winners of the first-ever ISG Star of Excellence Awards™, a new program that ranks providers based on direct customer experience feedback. The ISG Star of Excellence Awards™ rankings are derived from ISG's groundbreaking global 2018 Client Experience Study.
Herrera will present the results of the study, which surveyed more than 1,000 buy-side enterprise executives at more than 550 companies about their service and technology provider relationships. The study results will help enterprise buyers, providers and advisors understand the state of provider performance in the marketplace.
"Digital has changed buyer expectations over the last two years more than anyone expected. Clients demand innovation and a much higher level of partnership in their relationships with providers," Herrera said. "Our survey results, reflecting direct client feedback, will help all providers raise the bar for service excellence in our industry, while recognizing those that have done the most to provide their clients with a great experience."
The main conference on November 6 will be preceded by an afternoon of workshops and an evening networking reception on November 5. More details about the event can be found at the ISG event website.
