MUNICH, April 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
In 2014 Europe's leading digital conference DLD celebrated a successful premiere in New York - and on May 6-7 Hubert Burda Media will again be bringing the digital elites from Europe, Israel and the U.S. together on the American East Coast. In the IAC Building, which was designed by Frank Gehry, conference host Steffi Czerny is expecting 800 intellectual pioneers, investors, entrepreneurs, politicians and creatives to discuss the latest trends, developments and opportunities in the digital world. Burda CEO Dr. Paul-Bernhard Kallen and the Israeli investor Yossi Vardi are the conference patrons.

"The outstanding success of DLD New York City last year demonstrated how strong the community and DLD brand are outside Europe as well," stated DLD founder and CEO Steffi Czerny. "That's undoubtedly because we choose our speakers very carefully, repeatedly identify emerging trends, and discuss topics that go on to shape the future. I'm delighted to again be bringing DLD to New York's unique eco-system with its media, tech and business constellations. And, in line with this year's DLD motto 'It's only the beginning' - which we already featured in Munich this past January - to continue the dialog with the international DLD community."
The speakers at DLDnyc include Nadia Swarovski (Swarovski), Sean Rad (Tinder), Lawrence Lessig (Harvard Law School), Shane Snow (Contently), Anke Domscheit-Berg (Fempower), Till Roenneberg (LMU Munich), Jon Steinberg (Mail Online), Werner Vogels (Amazon), Kristo Käärmann (TransferWise), Vanessa Friedman (New York Times), Lally Weymouth (Washington Post), Bjarke Ingels (BIG), Deepak Chopra (author), Shana Fisher (Andreessen Horrowitz) and Ben Rubin (Meerkat). Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post, will also be giving a talk from the DLD podium and celebrating the 10th anniversary of her globally successful platform during the conference. Beyond this, major American media organizations such as Vice, Hearst, Bloomberg and Vox Media will be represented at DLDnyc.
What does the future hold for journalism in the era of big data, native advertising, and content aggregation and customization? And what role does direct contact with target groups - as opposed to central marketplaces - play in the marketing of products and content? These are just a few of the topics being discussed by some 80 high-profile speakers at DLD New York City. The subjects covered also include FinTech, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
Further information on the speakers and their subjects at DLDnyc on May 6-7 can be found at http://dld-conference.com. Live streams of all of the panel discussions during the conference can be viewed on the DLD website at http://dld-conference.com/DLDnyc15#program.
