Dodge & Cox Announces Three New Board Members and Three New Officers
SAN FRANCISCO, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Dodge & Cox announced today the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Thomas S. Dugan, David C. Hoeft, and Diana S. Strandberg have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents and members of the Dodge & Cox Board of Directors, effective 25 May 2011.
Dodge & Cox announced three additional new officer positions, effective 2 June 2011. Gregory R. Serrurier and Director of Research C. Bryan Cameron have been appointed Senior Vice Presidents, and Roberta R.W. Kameda has been appointed General Counsel.
With the appointment of Mr Dugan, Mr Hoeft, and Ms Strandberg, the Dodge & Cox Board of Directors consists of eight senior executives. The other five members of the Board are Kenneth E. Olivier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Dana M. Emery, Co-President and Director of Fixed Income; Charles F. Pohl, Co-President and Chief Investment Officer; Thomas M. Mistele, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Counsel, and Secretary; and John A. Gunn, Chairman Emeritus.

Mr Dugan, who joined Dodge & Cox in 1993, is Associate Director of Fixed Income and a member of the Fixed Income Investment Policy Committee. He received his B.A. from Brown University in 1987 and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1992. Before graduate school, he worked as a fixed income securities trader for J.P. Morgan Securities. Prior to joining Dodge & Cox, he worked in the Czech Republic as an advisor to a Czech investment fund. Mr Dugan is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA® charterholder.
Mr Hoeft, who joined Dodge & Cox in 1993, is Associate Director of Research and a member of the Investment Policy Committee (IPC). He received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1989 (Phi Beta Kappa) and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1993. Prior to entering graduate school, he worked for two years as a consultant to the energy industry. He is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA charterholder.
Ms Strandberg, who joined Dodge & Cox in 1988, is Director of International Equity and a Senior Vice President of the Dodge & Cox Funds. In addition, she is a member of the IPC, the International Investment Policy Committee (IIPC), and the Global Investment Policy Committee. Ms Strandberg graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1981 (Phi Beta Kappa) and received her M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1986. She spent two years as a securities analyst at the First Boston Corporation before joining Dodge & Cox. She is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA charterholder.
Mr Cameron, who is Director of Research, is a member of the IPC and the IIPC. He received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis, in 1980 and his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1983. He worked for Dodge & Cox for one year before obtaining his M.B.A. and rejoined the firm in 1983. He is a shareholder of the firm and a CFA charterholder.
Mr Serrurier is a member of the IPC and the IIPC and manages the firm's institutional separate account equity group. He received his B.S. degree in 1979 from Oregon State University and his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1984, and joined Dodge & Cox that year. He is a shareholder of the firm, a CFA charterholder, and a Chartered Investment Counselor.
Ms Kameda, who remains a Vice President and Assistant Secretary, received her B.A. with distinction from the University of Hawaii and her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, she was a senior lawyer at Franklin Templeton Investments, an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, and Special Counsel in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Investment Management. She is a member of the Hawaii and District of Columbia Bar Associations and was admitted to the State Bar of California as a Registered In-House Counsel. Ms Kameda is a shareholder of the firm.
