The first race date of the season at the Motorcity venue is on 8 November featuring UAE Sportbike Championship and NGK Racing Series races, with the season finale scheduled for 11 April.
UAE Sportbike championship rounds are run exclusively at Dubai Autodrome with the 600 Class counting for the UAE National Championship and run in conjunction with the 600 Rookie Cup class and a non-championship category for 1000cc machines.
The NGK Racing Series is open to several classes which encompass GT cars and touring cars, including the highly competitive UAE Clio Cup series.
Also visiting the circuit during the course of the season will be Formula Gulf 1000 championship for young up and coming drivers, the Radical Middle East Series featuring a mix of pro-am drivers in high speed Le Mans style cars and the prestigious Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, where the region's best drivers will be in action.
One of the highlights of the local racing season will be the now traditional Dubai Motorsport Festival which takes place on the weekend of 14-15 February, on the bill will be races for NGK Racing Series, UAE Sportbikes, Radical Middle East Series, Formula Gulf 1000 and provisionally Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
Last season the DAMC introduced a mini-endurance race format for touring cars, sports cars and GT cars which was well received and popular with competitors. For the forthcoming season there will be two rounds featuring endurance races of two hours each, the first on 22 November and another on 21 March.
The highlight of the Autodrome's season will be the Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai which is now a mainstay of the UAE's prestigious international sporting calendar. This will be ninth edition of the event which is expected to attract over 90 top endurance race teams, and over 300 drivers from around the world.
The event also has the distinction of being the first major track racing event of the 2014 international season.
Dubai Autodrome general manager Richard Birch commented, "We are happy to announce the race dates at our venue and once again are braced and well prepared for what should be an interesting season of local motorsport. The Dunlop 24 Hours of Dubai will of course be one of the main highlights, but at the same time we believe the local motor racing fraternity is well served."
"Again we took on board the valuable input from competitors who highlighted the mini-endurance racing concept as a route to take. Thus we have two rounds that will cater for this format of racing, which we expect will attract an interesting mix of entries," he added.
