SINGAPORE, February 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Managing upstream E&P data is a difficult task for large and small E&P companies. SMi's 2nd annual E&P Information and Data Management Asia conference 25th - 26th April 2012, Singapore will provide attendees the opportunity to listen to senior experts on data management from oil and gas companies, solution providers, associations and technical experts so that you are fully up to date with the latest solutions.
Asia has accounted for about one-third of the world's economic growth in the 1990s, the Asian economies (both the advanced and developing economies) saw their share of the world's economic growth increase to almost 40% during the 2000-05 period and to almost 50% during the 2005-10 period, surpassing the share of the North American and European economies.
Forecasts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), over the next five years, expects the Asian economies to account for about 50% of the world's growth, while the former leaders, North America and Europe, remain at about 25%.
The Asian boom will be led by China and India, with the IMF expecting China alone to account for almost 30% of the world's growth over the next five years. Therefore it is important to understand what Petrochina, Premier Oil etc are doing in the E and P Data markets.
