ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, November 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
On November 25, the Organizing Committee for the second Eastern Economic Forum, set to take place in 2016, held a meeting under the leadership of Committee Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.
Outcomes of the first such forum, held in September 2015, were discussed, along with a number of issues related to the organization and necessary preparations of infrastructure in Primorsky Territory in the run up to the 2016 event. During the meeting, the decision was made to name the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Foundation as the official operator in charge of preparing and organizing EEF 2016, given its substantial experience in organizing and holding events at the international level, including in Vladivostok, such as APEC and APPF. The SPIEF Foundation will soon be renamed the Roscongress Foundation.
