EDM raises hundreds of pounds for Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning
MANCHESTER, England, November 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, announced today that it has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Held on Friday, 30th September, the EDM canteen was transformed into a coffee shop for the day as staff demonstrated their baking skills with a broad selection of delicious cakes and other tasty treats. After the day's donations were totaled up, a sum of £400 had been raised for Macmillan - the UK's leading charity dedicated to providing medical, practical, emotional and financial support to those affected by cancer.
"Macmillan is so grateful for the fundraising that EDM has been doing," said Macmillan Fundraising Manager, Becky Bainton. "The recent £400 raised at their coffee morning will go a long way to supporting people affected by cancer in and around the Greater Manchester area."
So far this year EDM has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan from other initiatives including another cake sale and the auctioning of a signed Manchester United football shirt. Further funds are due to be raised from Go Sober and the online auctioning of staff's unwanted household items.
