Electrical Enery Storage (ees) Gets Underway
MUNICH, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
The international exhibition showcases innovative storage solutions for the energy transition over three days
Munich, June 4, 2014 - Today marks the opening of the electrical energy storage (ees) exhibition, which is being hosted by Intersolar Europe for the first time.Together, the two exhibitions bring together all topics ranging from energy generation to electrical energy storage under one roof.In addition to products, solutions and services, visitors benefit from comprehensive information provided during the ees sessions at the Intersolar Europe Conference, at the ees forum and in an exhibition workshop. The electrical energy storage (ees) AWARD is also being presented for the first time to outstanding solutions in the area of energy storage.
Energy storage systems play an extremely important role in achieving the energy transition and represent a promising growth market. Out of approximately 1,100 exhibitors expected at the ees exhibition in hall B1 and Intersolar Europe taking place from June 4-6, a good 260 will shine the spotlight on the entire value-added chain of innovative battery and energy storage technologies, from individual components and production to specific examples of application. These exhibitors range from suppliers and manufacturers to traders. Together with Intersolar Europe, ees forms the world's largest industry platform for the combination of storage systems and photovoltaics.
Experts share practical knowledge during presentations at the ees forum
Organized in cooperation with the International Battery and Energy Storage Alliance (IBESA) and the Battery University, the ees forum taking place in hall B1, booth B1.150 on all three exhibition days features expert presentations about products, solutions and services surrounding storage solutions for energy systems with a high share of renewable energy. The companies nominated for the ees AWARD present their innovations on Wednesday, June 4. At the forum, a vehicle display by TESLA illustrates the topic of mobile energy storage.
ees AWARD for innovative storage solutions presented for the first time
The electrical energy storage (ees) AWARD is being introduced this year to honor outstanding products and solutions for energy storage in the fields of materials, production, systems technology, applications, second-use concepts and recycling. The winners of the ees AWARD will be announced during an official ceremony starting at 4:30pm on June 4, 2014 at Intersolar Europe's Innovation Exchange.
Workshop for tradesmen:Sunny prospects with solar storage systems
On June 6, the Successful Sales Strategies for Solar Storage Systems exhibition workshop provides practical information to tradesmen that are either new to the market or wish to sell and install an increased number of solar storage systems. It presents successful sales strategies, taking into account subsidies and economical loans granted by the German government. Different technologies and the incentive program are also looked at in more detail and thoroughly explained, enabling customers to benefit from a particularly economically viable solution. Organized in cooperation with the German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar), the workshop takes place on June 6 from 10:00am-12:00pm in exhibition hall A3, room A31/A32 (second floor - 1.OG).
Comprehensive Conference Program in the area of energy storage
The Intersolar Europe Conference 2014 runs alongside the ees exhibition and Intersolar Europe from June 2-4 and consolidates the topics and trends of the exhibition. This year, more than 300 speakers and around 2,000 attendees from over 50 countries are expected to take part in the conference in the Internationales Congress Center München. A total of seven ees sessions shed light on the topic of energy storage. The expert presentations and panel discussions are dedicated in particular to small and large-scale storage systems and their role in expanding the use of renewable energy, important markets, different battery technologies, battery safety and security, second-use concepts and battery recycling.

About electrical energy storage (ees)
Electrical energy storage (ees) is the international exhibition for batteries, energy storage systems and innovative production. It is making its debut in 2014, taking place in conjunction with Intersolar Europe, the world's largest exhibition for the solar industry and its partners.
Around 260 manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and research institutes are expected to showcase products and services from the entire value-added chain of innovative battery and energy storage technologies at ees and Intersolar Europe. Together with Intersolar Europe, ees forms the world's largest industry platform for the combination of storage systems and photovoltaics. A total of around 1,100 exhibitors are expected to attend both exhibitions in 2014.
The accompanying, three-day specialist conference provides in-depth information on the topics of electrical energy storage (ees) and Intersolar Europe. At the conference, a total of seven dedicated ees sessions provide an overview of the latest energy storage system developments. In 2013, more than 400 speakers and around 2,000 attendees discussed current industry topics and shed light on the background to technological, market and political developments.
Intersolar Europe and electrical energy storage (ees) are organized by Solar Promotion GmbH, Pforzheim and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG.
