Elsevier and Hacettepe University Launch Event on Research Performance and Evaluation in Turkey

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has announced the meeting: Turkey and Turkish University's Research Outputs in the Context of International Trends in Science and Collaboration Opportunities, which will take place on 12 March at the Congress Center of Hacettepe University, Sihhiye Campus in Ankara, Turkey.
Elsevier has organized the meeting in close collaboration with Hacettepe University. Its main goal is to bring together representatives from government, research institutes, universities, university libraries, experts in public policy and researchers to present and discuss Turkey's research performance. At the same time the event will provide an opportunity for quality dialogue on the topic of research evaluation, innovation and policy management, and share best practices on how to capture and analyse information scientific research output and how it can be used to develop research strategy.
Keynote speakers of the event include: Prof. Dr. A. Murat TUNCER, Rector of Hacettepe University; Youngsuk "Y.S." The Chair of Child Health, deemed to be the origin of Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine, was founded as a part of Faculty of Medicine, Ankara University by Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı on February 2, 1954.
