Elsevier Collaborates with Ministry of Education Belarus in the Launch of a Nation-Wide University Consortium

Access to ScienceDirect and Scopus for all Belarus Republic universities supported at Government level
Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, today announced its official collaboration with the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Education in the launch of a nation-wide university consortium providing access to ScienceDirect and Scopus for all universities of the Belarus Republic. The collaboration has been officially supported by the Minister of Education of Republic of Belarus Dr. Sergey A. Maskevich.
Over the last 5 years science and research conducted by universities have made significant contributions to the economy of the Republic of Belarus and investments in the universities have been actively encouraged by the Ministry of Education of Republic of Belarus. With the launch of this "roadmap," the nation-wide university consortium, the Ministry secures collaboration with Elsevier at a national level.
Dr. Maskevich said, "Our universities have grown to become key hubs of innovation for the Belarus Republic, providing integration of higher education, science and industry, for the creation of innovative infrastructure to implement world knowledge and export our developments and technologies. We see Elsevier as a necessary element in this construction and are glad for this official collaboration."
