Evidence-based solution recognized in the 'CDS - Order Sets and Care Plans' Category
Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced that Elsevier CPM, a leader in developing clinical decision support (CDS) tools for healthcare, was named a Category Leader for the "CDS - Order Sets and Care Plans" category, as determined by KLAS, the research firm which specializes in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors.
A Category Leader designation identifies top-rated vendor products for a market segment in the 2013 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. Elsevier CPM placed at the top of the category with an overall score of 84.5, a 2 percent increase from last year.
"It is an honor to receive a KLAS Category Leader designation for CDS," said Michelle Troseth, MSN, RN, DPNAP, FAAN, Chief Professional Practice Officer at Elsevier. "This is a considerable achievement, and we feel that it's a testament to the fact that our evidence-based solution, which is integrated into several major EHR systems, is meeting the needs of healthcare providers with its quality, applicable content and ease of use."
Elsevier CPM's interprofessional team of clinicians and uniquely engaged client consortium offer intentionally designed CDS and practice expertise that ensure better patient outcomes, compliance with national patient safety standards and an overall improvement in interprofessional team collaboration.
"Our goal of co-creating best places to give and receive care with our clients is largely supported by providing superior, evidence-based solutions to clinicians to strengthen quality of care, improve clinical outcomes and enhance patient safety. We feel this is validated through this recognition, and we appreciate KLAS's acknowledgment. Our clients also appreciate the relationship and support from the interprofessional CPM Transformation Services team from selection to activation," said Troseth.
KLAS works with the executives, managers, and professionals from over 4500 hospitals and over 2500 clinics, gathering data to measure vendor performance. Through reports on software, professional services, and medical equipment vendors, KLAS provides an informative view of vendor performance in the healthcare industry.
Elsevier will recognize its CPM customers with a reception on Monday, February 24, at Booth #6352 at HIMSS14 in Orlando, Fla. The KLAS Awards Ceremony for winners will be held at HIMSS14 on Sunday, February 23.
