Mojarra has chosen Elster EnergyICT's powerful EIServer™ cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, to collect, cleanse, analyze and interpret all energy-related data. The solution includes data loggers and sub meters and the eiPortal software, which provides Mojarra with a fully-configurable energy monitoring tool that takes energy consumption data to create intuitive reports and comparative performance indicators for energy usage. The data enables Mojarra to make informed recommendations to its customers on how they could improve their energy efficiency, and is capable of benchmarking across multiple sites via the eiDashboard module.
Chris Hay, Mojarra CEO, said: "An increase in energy prices, new energy efficiency incentives and funding models are driving a sharper focus on the identification and implementation of energy efficiency projects. We chose Elster EnergyICT because not only could it deliver the performance, architecture and integrity that we required, but it also had an impressive global customer base and track record."
Mojarra uses the EIServer™ in conjunction with detailed analysis and interpretation from its engineering team to identify where energy efficiency improvements and savings can be made for the customer. The engineering team then work with the customer to improve their energy efficiency. For example, the EIServer™ may identify unexplained increases in energy use for a particular site, which on further examination and analysis could reveal a problem with the site's heating ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Or, the data may show that cleaning staff are leaving lights on after hours. This information, which is delivered in real time, is easily actionable and can deliver savings, both in terms of cost and carbon.
"A new model for the energy management industry is emerging on the back of these measurement and management technologies. This is driving a higher level of responsiveness and accountability in the energy efficiency market, which is good news for the industry and efficiency targets," continues Hay.
Spencer Rigler, Vice President of Energy Management, at Elster EnergyICT said: "We're impressed to see how Mojarra is using our software platform to not only drive technological development for its customers, but also to encourage behavioural change. Providing energy efficient insights, such as the level of consumption during out-of-office hours and how well energy efficiency improvement projects are performing, all help to create a strong buy-in for energy and cost conservation within their customer's organisations."
